'PICNIC PEOPLE PANIC (PPP)' pursues uncharted dark psychedelia, bringing destructive euphoria and distorted magnetic fields to dance music enthusiasts. Seeking to connect the past, present and future into a single thread across the dance floor, PPP will once again attempt to synchronise everyone's frequencies.

Headlining in the main room is Roman Flügel, who has made an immense contribution to the contemporary German electronic music scene. Since the early 1990s, he has been at the forefront of diverse genres including acid house, techno and trance. As part of the duo 'Alter Ego', formed with Jörn Elling Wuttke, they released the track "Rocker" in 2004, which was a massive hit worldwide. He is also a key figure on the scene, having co-founded the legendary label Playhouse, which has produced historic masterpieces by artists such as Isolée, Ricardo Villalobos and LoSoul.

From Japan, Kabuto, who has made his mark on the global stage with his assured groove-making at supreme festivals and clubs such as the Houghton Festival in the UK, Essaim in Paris, Cadavra in Madrid and Ring in Seoul, will be performing. Furthermore, VJ Camel, will translate PPP’s aesthetic into a visual spectacle. 

In the 1F room, curated by HQ2, there will be a two-man showcase featuring the alternative disco collective Timothy Really Lab., familiar to audiences as the group behind 'The Power of Five (Six) is Infinite!', and Gero, a resident at Klymax, the iconic club in Bali, Indonesia. On this day, the 1F room is expected to be a grand finale brimming with camaraderie and smiles.

On the 4th Floor, a soulful line-up of DJs selected by TPC and Masayasu, both familiar faces at PPP, will weave a colorful narrative. Moodman is a solitary craftsman and true vinyl digger who has been shaking up Japan's underground scene since the late 1980s. Also appearing is Katimi Ai, who served as the first Japanese monthly resident on the Brooklyn radio station 'Half Moon' and is actively involved in projects such as 'YY project K' with koto player Asuka, as well as releases under her own name on the label 'African Tales'.

The PPP experience does not end with that single night. It is a place that connects us to the following day and to the world of the future. There is no room for nostalgia or egotism. In this modern age, where culture spreads infinitely across the internet and is consumed in a superficial, fleeting manner, we believe in the power of sharing the same moment on the dance floor. It is about experiencing an intense shock together, and from there, each individual discovering their own autonomous value. PPP will continue to convey the miracles born in an intimate space where we can read each other’s expressions, and the stories that unfold beyond them.
